Dr. Lisa Berzins is a clinical psychologist who uses
evidence-based treatments to help clients with addictions, trauma, anxiety,
depression, eating disorders, body image issues and problems with regulating
emotion. She believes that as humans, we can become overly self-critical and
fight against emotions including anger, fear, loneliness, or shame when
presented with difficult situations or when life doesn’t meet our expectations.
She helps others to develop skills that will bolster self-confidence,
happiness, life satisfaction, and happiness. Dr. Berzins tailors treatment to
clients’ individual needs so she can effectively address body, mind and spirit.
If you have ever encountered the feeling of self-sabotaging
yourself and don’t know why, Internal Family Systems (IFS) and self-compassion
can assist in identifying and healing the “parts” of you that are polarized. As
a result, your core self will be free to take charge and your emotions will no
longer have the power to “hijack” you. Dr. Berzins can attest to the positive
impact of these interventions both professionally and personally.
Dr. Berzins also presents on the following topics in
